Cuento del bordado
They say that a girl from Pátzcuaro wanted to take all her aunts to the Day of the Dead celebration, but they wouldn't all fit in the canoe. Her mother took a blouse and embroidered each one around the neckline: the one who wore the pink shawl, the one in blue, the one who always dressed in purple, and the grandmother in brown.
When she was finished, there were so many little guarecitas that the orange border had to ripple to embrace them all. Since then, they say, whoever wears this blouse never goes anywhere alone.
