Cuento del bordado
They say there were two little towns, one on each shore of the lake, that had not spoken to each other for years. Only one night a year, the night of the dead, would the people of both towns light candles at their graves, and flocks of birds would cross the water carrying messages from one side to the other.
The embroiderer placed them as reflections of each other, one facing the other on the chest, joined by a turquoise border like the lake. Whoever wears this shirt, the story goes, carries reconciliation right over their heart.
